Without even realizing it, a day in the life of a Canberran is touched by the vocational training and skills of CIT graduates in a range of industries, from their fitness instructor and coffee shop barista, to their children’s trusted early childhood educator, their aged care support worker and the tradies that keep utilities running throughout the city.
This program provides you with the opportunity to lead teams, manage programs and design and implement curriculum for children in Early Childhood Education and Care services.
Entry and English requirements
On entry, you will need to demonstrate appropriate reading, writing and oral communication skills by undertaking a literacy assessment (ASCF level 3). You may be required to undertake additional Foundation Skills subjects to support your learning and success in this program.
A skills recognition process may apply if you already have a relevant lower level qualification.
If you are entering the program as a Trainee, you must be employed in the industry and be registered with an Apprentice Network Provider (ANP) prior to enrolment.
Additional Information
You will be required to have a ‘Working with Vulnerable People Check’ before undertaking any professional placement with children. Information will be provided on enrolment.
