To complete CHC50113 Early Childhood Education and Care, students need to complete 28 units of competency consisting of 23 core units and 5 elective units. Students may apply for exemption for any unit in which they can successfully demonstrate competency
QUALIFICATION DESCRIPTION
This qualification reflects the role of early childhood educators who are responsible for designing and
implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so they work to implement an
approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations
and the National Quality Standard. They may have responsibility for supervision of volunteers or other staff..

Students will need to satisfactorily complete the following units to achieve the CHC50113 Diploma Of Early Childhood Education And Care.
Note: Students will complete HLTAID004 with H and A Training (RTO91798) with WSTC preferred supplier or with other accredited RTO
Entry Requirement:
Must be over 18 years of age
Preferably year 12 or equivalent
Possess IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
Access to computer with internet connection
Have Unique Student Identifier (USI),
Able to provide a Police Check with no disclosure
Able to provide a Working with Children Check
Able to complete a First Aid Course (HLTAID004 Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education and Care Setting)
Able to complete 350 Hours of work placement
Able to maintain satisfactory course progress
