The Queensland Government is providing one-off financial grants of $500 to eligible international students in Queensland.
How to know you ARE eligible :
Over 18.
Currently enrolled at a CRICOS registered education provider in Queensland that is:
Not a university based in or with a campus in Queensland.
Not TAFE Queensland.
Not a primary or secondary school.
Hold an international student visa to study at a Queensland education and training provider.
Currently living in Queensland.
Currently have $1500AUD or less in their bank account – with proof of transactions from 19 May 2020 onwards.
Must have an Australian bank account.
If you are applying, the information you provide must be true and accurate. If you are assessed as eligible, you will receive a one-off $500 payment to your Australian bank account. Please note, it could take 7-10 business days to receive this payment into your bank account.
How to apply:
Applications for the Queensland International Student Crisis Assistance Grant are through the Queensland Government Community Recovery Portal of the Department of Communities, Disability, Services and Seniors. Throughout the application process, you may see references to the Department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors.
