This degree requires a student to complete 192 credit points (16 units) and is a two-year full-time award.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

ENGLISH LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS

You must provide evidence that you have completed an approved English language test, and achieved the result as described below.

  • IELTS (Academic Module): Overall score 6.5 (no band less than 6.0)
  • TOEFL Internet: Overall score 79 (section scores no less than: Listening 19, Speaking 19, Reading 18, Writing 22)
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE): Overall score 58-64 (no section score less than 50)
  • Pearson Test of English (PTE): Overall score 58-64 (no section score less than 50)
  • University of Cambridge - Advanced (CAE): Total score of 58
  • English Language School in Sydney (ELSIS)- EAP 2 (advanced): A grade.

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR ENGLISH LANGUAGE STUDIES

ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS

Entry into the Master of Applied Information Technology requires you to have completed:

  • Bachelor/Honours degree: Completion of a cognate (similar discipline)
  • Bachelor/Honours Degree; OR Completion of a non-cognate (any discipline)
  • Bachelor/Honours Degree and a Graduate Certificate in a cognate (similar discipline) field.

International: Entry into the program is open to applicants with a postgraduate qualification (AQF8 or higher), a first degree (AQF7) in the following quantitative disciplines: Information Technology, Computer Science, Computing, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Science, or equivalent.
In addition to satisfying the Bachelor/Honours Degree or Mature Age admission requirements, International Students must provide evidence of proficiency in the English language as demonstrated by: International English Language Testing System or its equivalent – overall score of 6.5 and no individual band score less than six.

Applicants with any of the following qualifications may apply for up to 48 credits points against specific coursework units (as detailed below):

  • A degree in computer science or IT
  • A four year Honours degree in computer science or IT
  • A degree or a Graduate Certificate with IT or Project Management units.
  • A postgraduate qualification with IT or Project Management units.
  • A combination of qualifications and experience equivalent to the above 4
